AI or not, for content marketing

AI or not, for content marketing

AI... AI... AI...

That's the hottest topic of our times. All industries, all countries, and all communities are talking about it, and actually, using it.

No doubt, content marketing has been so much into this topic so far.

Saving money vs losing the results of your content marketing efforts.

Almost all companies are investing in content marketing. They are sharing content on social media, on their websites, on third-party platforms, and even on metaverse.

All these efforts pay back by bringing customers.

However, with the rise of AI-based content, companies started thinking it may cut the costs of content marketing if they start using ChatGPT, or other AI-based content creation tools.

Well, the fact is...

The fact is it doesn't work this way.

AI tools are great to ease the path to publishing your content. However, they will not do what your content creator does. If it does, try questioning your creator.

Let's narrow our focus to just blog writing as it's my expertise.

AI can help you

  • find topics to write about (ChatGPT, Jasper, Notion, etc.)
  • brainstorm while structuring your article (ChatGPT, Jasper, Notion, etc.)
  • fix any possible grammatical mistakes or typos (Grammarly)
  • discover better ways than the way you say (Wordtune, Jasper)
  • ask for details and descriptions about your topic to learn more about it (ChatGPT, Jasper, Notion, etc.)
  • see alternative intros and outros (Jasper)
  • and probably more.

All these are amazing while writing a blog article. They will improve your latest version with handy touches.

What can't you do with AI while writing a blog article?

AI can't

  1. write unique content and other AIs can detect articles that AI wrote. Guess who loves these other AIs most. Of course, Google. It means your AI-written article will not be as valuable as a human-written article when it comes to getting listed on search results.
  2. write customized content. Today, I was editing an article our talented writer Nida wrote. She did her research on Google and with AI tools. She added her knowledge and creativity to write the article. Then we discussed the article to decide on how to highlight the product of our client to drive people to sign-up. I contributed with my 10-year experience in blog writing. She contributed with her research results. Voila! We finished the article. An AI will only collect info and bring them together using different words and phrases. Compared to our process, AI is not customized to your needs and products/services.
  3. target a specific audience. In some tools, they ask you about your target audience. Let's say you say "content writers". What the tool does is address them directly. For example, "As a content writer, you blah blah". That's not targeting.

Soo, my train is arriving at my destination. I will stop here for now. Thanks for reading until here, if you did.

I hope it helps you out while establishing your relationship with AI.
