Microsoft Research has launched Magentic-One, a versatile open-source multi-agent system on Microsoft AutoGen. Designed to support developers and researchers, it autonomously manages complex, multi-step tasks across domains. Magentic-One uses a modular structure with a lead orchestrator agent and specialized agents, like WebSurfer for web navigation, FileSurfer for file tasks, Coder for programming, and ComputerTerminal for code execution.

OpenAI Launches Predicted Outputs to Enhance LLM Response Speed?
OpenAI’s new "Predicted Outputs" feature for GPT-4o and GPT-4o-mini boosts efficiency and reduces response times by letting developers input a "prediction string," or expected output segment. This approach cuts token generation, lowering latency by around 50% in repetitive tasks and small edits. Early adopters find it especially useful for updating text and minor code changes. This feature enables businesses to streamline workflows, increasing productivity.

Meta Unveils Quantized Llama Models for Faster Performance and Reduced Memory Use?
Meta has released its first lightweight quantized Llama models, optimized for mobile devices, with 2-4x speedup, 56% model size reduction, and 41% lower memory use. These models, meeting the same quality and safety standards as the original 1B and 3B models, use Quantization-Aware Training with LoRA adaptors for accuracy and SpinQuant for portability. Inferences run on the Llama Stack via PyTorch’s ExecuTorch framework. Developed with industry partners, they are now available on Qualcomm and MediaTek SoCs with Arm CPUs.
