Recently, Megvii helped a Wuxi-based clothing retail chain to improve their logistics operation. The company suffered from daily inefficiencies and inventory backlog because their traditional manual operations failed to keep up with the company’s development. This was especially evident during the peak seasons when the daily shipment was incredibly busy, yet the warehousing and shipping still heavily relied on skilled workers. This was not only inefficient, but also problematic to secure enough manpower during the peak seasons, which slowed down the business.

To tackle this challenge, Megvii created a customised smart logistics solution based on a three-dimensionally automated warehouse, in accordance with the industry’ s features and the company’s needs.

Under the careful scheduling of HETU , Megvii's comprehensive supply chain IoT operating system, the new logistics centre automated and digitalised warehousing, shelving, storage, distribution, review, and collection across its product lines. Since the logistics centre went live, the company has increased its daily shipment by five times, its warehouse space utilisation by three times, and reduced its staffing by forty per cent, which greatly reduced the labour intensity of workers and significantly improved efficiency.
