Thanks, Ujj, for a simple story, with great insights. I will definitely be using this story in communicating key aspects of AI for a new venture to all manner of potential key resources. As you know, they include potential clients, team members, advisers and partners. You actually beat McKinsey in describing AI Bots. McKinsey in their May 17 article did call these "AI Agents", so you both deserve credit for the concept. And time will tell what name is actually given to them as the concept you first mentioned, for handling your travel undoubtedly gets more traction.

One of the challenges when booking a hotel/planning a trip is having to compare multiple options to find the best fit, which can depend on several factors. It will be interesting to see how AI tackles this.

As these steadily improve and are better able to understand and interpret user intentions, they will become as routine as tapping with your credit card. Primitive versions of these have been (and still are) in widespread use, but they are sometimes frustrating to use, leading only to an endless series of multiple-choice questions or misinterpretations. I just had an experience yesterday that caused me to give up on any further attempts to use the chatbot. Why have a convenient pop-up chatbot that only pretends to be convenient? I wrote an email to support and received a quick answer. This more sophisticated AI could change that perception.
