AI Is Changing Work. Are You Ready?
AI is reshaping work. Some call it a revolution; others say it’s just hype. Either way, institutions can’t afford to sit still.
AI won’t replace jobs outright, but it will change them. The challenge is keeping up. The people who know how to use AI effectively will have the edge. Institutions must rethink roles, identify skill gaps, and help employees sharpen creativity, problem-solving, and human skills—the things AI can’t do.
AI makes work faster, but should employees be penalized for using it? Many don’t talk about their AI use, worried it will just lead to more work. Institutions need to shift their focus from effort to outcomes. Recognizing productivity over busywork and offering incentives—like learning stipends or time credits—helps employees see AI as a tool for growth, not a threat.
AI can process information, but it lacks understanding, intuition, and emotional intelligence. The most valuable skills will be the ones AI struggles with: curiosity, adaptability, and critical thinking. Institutions need to develop these, not just technical skills. The employees who thrive won’t just use AI; they’ll know how to challenge it, ask better questions, and make smarter decisions.

Mid-level managers will determine how well institutions adapt, yet they’re often overlooked. They’re expected to juggle AI, ethics, workplace culture, and strategy while leading teams through change. Without investment in manager development, even the best AI strategies will fall flat.
Many employees fear AI simply because they haven’t used it. The best way to change that is through hands-on experimentation—pilot programs, AI challenges, and a culture where learning is encouraged. Institutions that create space for testing and adapting will pull ahead.
AI won’t replace people, but it will reshape how work gets done. Institutions that invest in skills, leadership, and adaptability will build teams that stay ahead. The ones that thrive won’t just have AI—they’ll have people who know how to use it well.
