How you show up matters in business (and life)!
We have all seen those photoshop fails and the unrealistic expectations that magazine editing does for girls and women's perceptions of what a woman 'should' look like.
We've all seen the many documentaries over the years, around the notion of magazines setting unrealistic standards.
We've all seen the push back (rightfully so) around these practices.
And yet, I'm seeing an increasing number of people jumping on the AI visuals bandwagon, and from an authentic embodiment perspective, I'm concerned.
AI created branding visuals of your face and your energy is exactly like the magazine setting unrealistic standards scenario.
I'm not talking about the obvious argument, which is that AI visuals have the "potential" of replacing the work I do making myself and many of your creative friends obsolete. As a creative, that does make me a tinge nervous. But I know that AI cannot replicate the photographs I take and create, and it definitely cannot replace the empowerment and discovery process I take clients through before, during and after a photo shoot!
But as a former psychologist and someone who still to this day intertwines deep embodiment work into my process, I have all sorts of concerns about the domino effect of choosing to hand over the expression of your face and body and energy to artificial intelligence.
Just like the age old conversation around magazines and photoshopping (anyone not remember the thigh gap controversy?), a new issue is creeping in, and it's right under everyone's noses. I feel like we will be talking about this in a year or two, when everyone starts realising the negative effects of this trend.
What's real? What's AI?

Is that really me? Is that really you?
Disconnection with the energy you are putting out into the world, when using AI visuals of yourself.
Subconsciously making us 'lazy' around how we 'show up'.
No longer experiencing the discomfort of being truly SEEN by a camera and others.
What new neural pathways will develop, when you see an AI generated branding photograph of yourself - and what will be the outcome of that? How will that change you over time?
There is a HUGE shift mentally and psychologically that happens when you literally HAVE TO express yourself in front of a camera and communicate a powerful message and energy. It calls something within you to step up bigger. There is a fabulous shift that happens when you are in the thick of creating headshots of yourself and sometimes it doesn't work - and the ephoria that happens when it does. To back yourself beyond what you've ever done before. And don't get me started on the psychological advantages of seeing yourself truly IN a photo that was a challenge to you, but you rocked it and the outcome is magnetic!
You might think "It's just a photo, how could it possibly do allllll of that?". My comment would be is that IF IT ISN'T going that, then you are doing it wrong and you are with the wrong photographer.
Energy attracts. True embodiment is key to adaptation and innovation!
Make sure you are attracting the right energy into your business and your life. Make sure you are 100% showing up.
Let's leave AI for all of the repeitiive tasks that slow us down....and maybe it can do my laundry as well???? lol
