AI on the brain, oh my

AI on the brain, oh my

I originally created the brainfood illustration because I wanted to convey the sense of overload that occurs with small business owners navigating the tech landscape. It's validated every time I work with a new client and review the menu of platforms that need to be considered. It was bad enough when social media burst onto the scene many years ago. Business owners then were racing around to the different platforms to figure out which ones were a good fit.

The only metric that small business owners pay attention to is obviously sales. What's going to make the phone ring and what's going to light up my email inbox?

So now comes Chat GPT, yikes. Business owners are wondering if that's the silver bullet to make money with. Apparently they are.ChatGPT reached an estimated 100 million active monthly users, a mere two months from launch, making it the fastest-growing consumer application in history. By comparison, TikTok took nine months to reach 100 million monthly users, and Instagram about 2.5 years.

Like everyone else I have been researching the best utilizations of Chat. I first tried it out for a website page I was creating for a client. I used it to research the subject matter of the new page and found the "generated content" to be boring and lacking substance.

I started researching other more specific applications of using Chat. I've signed up for a few newsletters that have up-to-date releases of AI products. Even reading the emails from these sign-ups takes a lot of time. I ended up creating my own spreadsheet to manage all of the information that I was reading.

This brings me back to business owners who are trying to keep up with technology for their businesses. I have been pleased with some specific add-ons to the Open AI platform.

AI will have a definite impact in how I research subjects for websites that I create. The goal is still creating content for clients that is both relevant and search-engine optimized. Through the use of AI tools that are geared towards SEO optimization of content I will be able to produce content that is not "fluffy".

I decided then to update my Brainfood illustration to add ChatGPT to the brain overload.

I am using ChatGPT in some fashion almost every day. It's mind-blowing the time it saves to support my client work Thomas Knoble.
