Will AI benefit or destroy society?

Artificial Intelligence is termed as the threat for most of the engineers (or any technical person). Search engines and digital “agents” such as Siri, Alexa, and Cortana – are not close to reaching the goal of human-like artificial general intelligence (AGI). They are continuously becoming more powerful thanks to developments in machine learning.
Tools are evolving to master human traits such as logic, learning, task performance, and creativity. Dependency on the AI is growing leaps and bounds.
Of course, some roles will come to an end as it has happened in the history of humanity every time there has been a technological revolution. That's how we as human beings came into existence correct? Do we still have a tail? Are we still alive?
The answers to the above questions are universally known. However, the changes toward "human + machine" require the creation of new roles and the recruiting of new talent; it is not just a matter of implementing AI technology. We also need to remember that "Change is the only constant". I don't remember ever reading a position of Augmented reality architect, Cybercity analyst, Urban farming, Data-driven life coaches and Robot dispatcher in the past. These are just a few examples of new talents or the human skills which are upcoming, the tech giant is in a dire need of these talents (The money is good too!!)
AI is nothing but a "Circle of Learning" as very well stated by Paul Daugherty
To create an evolving and fulfilling future, I believe we must exploit these technologies toward goals beyond profits. .e.These technologies must be more people-centric. Like, imagine a Google maps proposing your work commute through the most beautiful route, not simply the quickest or Automated updates of Anti-Depressing thoughts or webinars while you are in depression (as you very well know that even your WhatsApp isn't private anymore) rather than some ads of futile clothing or pieces of equipment.
Indeed, this is a time of change and change happens rapidly. You don’t need to select a music playlist for yourself now, the music application makes its own algorithm based on your choices and the same goes for your food selections. It's not rocket science but very simple formula for those who can understand that the future includes living, working, co-existing and collaborating with AI is all set to succeed in the coming years and those who neglect the fact are all set to fall over their faces.
Final Thoughts
AI can only become what we want it to become. We are creating them with coding. If the people are anxious/worried about AI this is due to fear of the unknown. I suggest the only way to come out of this quadrant is to read and educate about the upcoming changes.
