From the everyday, anybody perspective, AI enables faster learning, increases your ability to accomplish tasks and can aid in the understanding of complex issues.

(Think helping you translate legalese and technical jargon, directions, and absorbing concepts at a faster pace.)

While AI is not perfect, it’s getting better every day.

On a personal level, there are things I cannot wait for AI to help us solve. My husband's back issue, a cleaner environment, world hunger…how to get the basil in my garden to stop getting Downey Mold.

Find it scary? Stop it. ?

You know what is really frightening? How long others have had access to AI!


Here are a few practical ways I am using AI

AI in my morning news

This morning, I was able to read and easily absorb a complex financial issue happening in the news right now because of AI.

Finance is an important part of marketing, but I sometimes struggle to understand its nuances. It can take me a little longer to absorb the laws, levers and changes as well as how they will affect the market - and how business will react on a macro level.

This morning, I was reading about “Bail-Ins” on X . Bail-ins are a concept I had zero insight into. Running out of time before I had to start moving for the day, I had an idea!

I dumped the article into MS Copilot with the preface “rewrite this article so a 5th grader can understand it”. (Note to self, move it to at least Jr. High)

Okay, the outcome likened bail-ins to sharing your lunch sandwich with someone, but I got the picture. I understood we now have a new bubble I have to keep my eye on - all before my morning coffee.?

Checking out the Competition

One of the best ways to stake out the competition is using AI.

From insights on markets that are trending up to where brand value propositions align and compete, with a proper framework prompt, AI can provide a fairly good picture of a business position. Outcomes can produce a starting point from which to outline your goals and paths from where plans for improvements can begin.


Charting a tedious Social Calendar

I don’t chart my own LinkedIn (I should).

I do for clients (and have vowed to do my own right after this. I promise. Pinky swear.)

With the right prompting, including opportunity, the ideal message for the target position, the reasons, barriers, benefits, and emotional drivers, you can ask your AI program to create a tabular formatted calendar for LinkedIn, or for Facebook, Instagram - you get the idea.

Be certain to include starting dates, column description, hashtags, image suggestions, the benefits the company offers, unique value propositions, call to action and any other items that make your company and value proposition different and authentic.

The more you include, the less editing later.

With AI, creating a multi-week calendar is easy, particularly if you ask for suggested images.

Edit the outcomes and you are done.

Now you can get back to those tedious articles again.


Evaluating a website

AI can evaluate your website, its standing, SEO and more.

Set the prompt to define the purpose of your website, and then request that AI offer suggestions to improve website so that it gives you the result you are looking for. For instance, if website is designed to sell a product or service, state that. Then request suggestions to improve the website for generation of more leads, for example.

Now, if you have a user-friendly CMS – get to work!

The Ideal Consumer Profile

Who is your buying market?

What do they look like?

What motivates them emotionally?

Setting up your ideal consumer profile is an important aspect in message creation. AI is an excellent way to create help create an avatar for messaging.

The Bottom line

AI will affect every part of your business, every business, and every industry.

I don’t foresee AI replacing humans, but assisting humans with speed, research, understanding and collaboration.
