AI? Ay ay ay.

AI? Ay ay ay.

99% of marketers don’t understand the term AI.

Then they approve copy that does not help either.

Here are some terms helpful to understand for you:

[???? = ???????????????????? ????????????????????????]?Most things that get called AI are only “intelligence” as of the partly definition that

“?????? ???????????? ?????? ?????????????? ?????? ?????????? ?????????????????? ?????? ????????????.”

However, if a given scenario does not fit their logic matrix, you run into all kinds of malfunctions and unpredictable behavior.

Most people “solve” this with failsafe logic, rendering the system immobile or shutting it down whenever they run into possibly dangerous situations.

[??????????????????????] Consisting out of many parts and steps, that are all predictable. Think of a manual or a computer. They are complicated, but we can expect a certain outcome matching a specific input. Almost what most schools do with their pupils.

Confront such a complicated machine with an unknown scenario and it breaks.

You might remember comics back then where an illogical question made robots explode ,-)

[??????????????]?Consisting out of many parts, that are out of our perception or even knowledge. The behavior and the interplaying meta-dynamics are often non-linear and they can be predictable, but they don’t necessarily have to.

Whenever you expose a complex system to an unknown scenario, you can only guess how the system will behave.

These iterations are the simply reason why machine learning accelerated the research & development so much. Suddenly, the system itself was capable of running these iterations, instead of having humans setting up each single scenario.

[????????????????????]?What means cybernetic? I really like the part of Wikipedia where they explain:

?…Norbert Wiener characterized cybernetics as concerned with "control and communication in the animal and the machine".

Another early definition is that of the Macy cybernetics conferences, where cybernetics was understood as the study of "circular causal and feedback mechanisms in biological and social systems".

Margaret Mead emphasized the role of cybernetics as "a form of cross-disciplinary thought which made it possible for members of many disciplines to communicate with each other easily in a language which all could understand".

To those who are in the IT Industry, terms like “DevOps, cross-functional, API” might come to their mind.

Personally, I research in the last years if cybernetic management might be the only way to manage systems at scale. Very recently I had a breakthrough, understanding suddenly how I can align systemic priorities with the inter-connected parts of the system to maximize the alignment between available resources of the given systemic context for every unit and the potential of control, influence, and input they can apply to the system and its environment.

I can’t say this much simpler yet, as it is literally the speer point of my thoughts inside my own, personal mind space and years beyond most things I’ve read so far. If you have questions or input, you’re most welcome to comment or send me a DM ,-)

I end with the term:

[????????????]?Why? Because you are one!?

Wait, what?! Yeah, at least temporarily. Some humans even permanently, when they have a cardiac pacemaker, for example.

Or….when they pick up a tiny device through which they can access a global network via wireless connections, enhancing their capabilities immensely.

Remember that one dumb person the other day? Imagine them in a quiz show. Goodbye at the first question with bad luck, right?

Now imagine how far they might go if they’re allowed to use this magical device. They could answer questions all day long. At least usual quiz show questions ,-)

What that magic device is?

You probably guessed already, a smartphone.

So yes….by definition we are often cyborgs.”

Cool, huh?
