AI in Action: Faculty-Led Innovation with ChatGPT

AI in Action: Faculty-Led Innovation with ChatGPT

This fall and starting on Friday of this week, I will be offering a five-part workshop series, AI in Action: Faculty-Led Innovation with ChatGPT. While primarily geared for faculty, this program will also find use for educational staff as well as it’s designed to give both faculty and staff the tools they need to engage with AI, enhance their courses, and ensure that their teaching remains both innovative and equitable.

My hope is that there will be something of value for those new to AI or more experienced practitioners and everyone else in between. On the other hand, I’ve scheduled each session to run for no more than an hour with most of the time set aside for providing demonstrations along with some open discussion. What folks should not expect is listening to an AI expert for 45-60 minutes. Lecturing for that period of time seems fairly unappealing to me as I’m sure it does you. I also won’t lay claim to being an AI expert; however, I do like to think of myself as someone who’s had more than their fair share of experience exploring this “virtual sandbox” and found some interesting experiences worth sharing. ??

Here's the tentative game plan along with links to register for as many sessions as you like. [Feel free to share with colleagues and other interested parties!]

Forrest, will these sessions be recorded for access by those who cannot attend the scheduled sessions? Could recordings be sent to those who register and cannot attend?
