Jokes aside, while edge AI and autonomy sound promising, isn’t the real challenge convincing people that ‘local processing’ doesn’t mean their fridge is spying on them? Maybe before we teach everyone AI literacy, we should start with trust literacy. Will the rise of edge AI fundamentally change how businesses operate, or will it simply complement existing cloud systems? The move to localized data processing sounds efficient, but does it also pose challenges in maintaining consistency across devices? For example, if different devices process data independently, how do we ensure interoperability? This seems especially relevant in global industries like healthcare or finance.
