Milan, we're coming for you!! And what a week it will be...

Ahhh, Milan...

There's too much to see and do (and eat and drink) during the magical week that is Milan Design Week,?what we all instinctively call 'Salone' though we may never actually make it to the fairgrounds...?Below are a few highlights?including fairs,?installations, new collaborations, and a flurry of events from #ourtalentedfriends.

?The week begins with the?miart?fair,?with leading Italian?and international galleries showcasing modern and contemporary?art.?


Alcova?returns at Porta Vittoria Abattoir,?a new location?the itinerant platform for independent design, presenting a selection of creative interventions by brands and designers selected by founders Valentina Ciuffi and Joseph Grima.?


Carwan?Gallery presents OMG-GMO, a new commission by Paris-based designer?Robert Stadler, with an exhibition?curated by Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte. Stadler shares a series of playful, functional ceramic objects, handmade by the leading Italian ceramics company BITOSSI Ceramiche.

Formafantasma X Prada Frames symposium

An array of superstars have collaborated?with?cc-tapis?for a?presentation at their showroom?in Milan including?Formafantasma,?Objects of Common Interest,?Patricia Urquiola, and?Bethan Laura Wood.?


Formafantasma?returns to present its second edition of the Prada Frames?symposium.?The?2023 edition analyzes the?forces that govern waste production?and material regeneration. Bringing?together a host of experts to rethink the concept of waste.


Droog30?pays?homage to the avant-garde Dutch?company?on?the 30th anniversary of its first presentation in Milan. Commissioned by the Museo del Design Italiano di Triennale and curated by Maria Cristina Didero and Richard Hutten, the presentation promises to be a playful treat.?


AssabOne?presents “Design for Communities”, an exhibition dedicated to the project carried out by the NGO?Live in Slums?in collaboration with designer?Giacomo Moor, who designed beds, tables and benches for the refectory and dormitory of a?primary school in Nairobi.?
