Powering Resilience
Did you know that nearly 1 in 5 healthcare workers have quit their jobs during the pandemic?
To help prime the talent pipeline while creating living-wage jobs in underserved communities around the Bay Area, AHEAD grant recipient Opportunity Junction is using its funding to help build out its Healthcare Career Pathways program. The program provides free nursing assistant training and other support services to Contra Costa residents.
Founded in 1999, Opportunity Junction was designed to help Contra Costa County residents overcome barriers to employment and career advancement to achieve and sustain financial security. Today, that goal extends further, as the nonprofit works to fill critical gaps in the healthcare system. Through the 2021 AHEAD grant, facilitated by FHLBank San Francisco member First Republic Bank, Opportunity Junction will send 45 more residents through training and on to healthcare careers
Thank you First Republic Bank and Opportunity Junction for your efforts to empower the community.?
