I found the talks around quality particularly eyeopening as I married the presentations of the many quality leaders against what I thought to be a very confusing LNS data point........
~75% of quality 4.0 programs are being initiated by teams other than Quality?? I asked "really, how can that be?"
Listening to quality leader Hugo Gutierrez from KERRYFOODS SL I felt his passion and devotion to a thoughtful and purposeful process for bringing all of Kerry Foods leadership along in owning how they impact quality. As this was early in the event, I thought maybe Hugo is just very lucky or maybe the sole unicorn who has found a way to own transforming the way his company is infusing quality into every aspect of their business but...
The Aha moment for me came after listening to leaders Pablo Cussatti, Melanie Glennon, Ethan Bagloe and Michael Melnyk ... Your companies want you/ will allow quality to own being a change agent for quality across your enterprise but if you don't seize the opportunity to drive it you will be a passenger who has to accept the outcomes and visions of others.
