AGV's forecast for the next four years: global growth

In the Asian region: Due to the rapid development of emerging economies in China, India and South Korea, the fastest growing region of the AGV market is the Asia-Pacific region. Government policies in these areas increasingly emphasize the safety and security of production workshops, and the safety functions of AGV equipment can help companies achieve these goals.

Although Asia will develop rapidly, Europe is still the leader in AGV adoption and growth due to the European Union's plan to achieve a carbon neutral economy by 2050. Forecasts show that European companies expect the use of AGVs to increase by 31%.

U.S. industry tends to prioritize efficiency, and AGV investment is receiving the attention of consumer packaged goods companies, although the adoption rate is relatively slow compared to the Eurozone and Asia-Pacific markets. According to the annual survey published by "Modern Material Handling" magazine, about 15% of respondents have increased their automatic transportation capabilities in 2020, and 32% of respondents plan to automate transportation processes in warehouse operations in the next two years.

Whether companies prioritize energy efficiency, safety or cost reduction, AGVs will become increasingly common in manufacturing and warehouses as we move into the new decade.
