AGTA Spectrum Award Winner

If you are in the design or jewelry industry, then you know about the world renowned and prestigious award for creatives alike: the AGTA Spectrum award. This award show has a lot of different categories and discipline variations, available to all jewelry professionals of many different levels whose work promotes natural colored gemstones in addition to pearls. One of the most spectating pieces that won first place for the “Objects of Art” category was a kaleidoscope. This truly exquisite creation consisted of 18K yellow and white gold, about 71 carats of multicolored tourmalines and a  24 carat quartz as a lens for the kaleidoscope. The creation is titled “Colors of Maine” due to the Maine origin of the tourmalines and is by designer Derek Katzenback of Katzenback Designs. We absolutely love this extraordinary piece of art and believe it should belong in a museum for all to see.
