This dynamic practical long half-day course is designed to provide attendees with hands-on experience in evaluating material conditions using common insitu testing methods, including:

• In Situ Modulus and Bearing Capacity Testing: Static Plate Load Test (PLT), Light Weight Deflectometer (LWDs), Trailer Mounted Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD)
• Penetration Testing: Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), Dynamic Probing Super Heavy (DPSH), PANDA Probe, Automated Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP), and more.

The event aims to familiarise geomechanics practitioners with hands-on experience in completing various tests, enabling them to understand the practical aspects of data collection in the field and to improve their ability to specify tests effectively.?It's a fantastic opportunity for early career professionals to engage with experienced operators and for seasoned practitioners to discuss the applicability and limitations of each in-situ testing method.

For over 15 years, Robin has been a strong advocate for introducing innovative insitu testing methods, aiding clients in making well-informed, timely decisions. When Robin initially began working with these methods, many were unfamiliar in the Pacific region. However, they have since gained recognition and are now widely adopted as accepted testing techniques in significant civil construction projects, incorporated into specifications.
