Agrocrops’ First Peanut-Centric Sustainability Report

Welcome to Agrocrops’ first peanut-centric sustainability report. We recognise the increasing significance and necessity of developing and employing sustainable practices in our business and industry.?

?Agrocrops was founded on the principles of social responsibility and in this report we have made an attempt about how it is translated into practice and the status on our ESG performance of our Indian operations for the calendar year 2022 in accordance with the GRI sector standard applicable for agriculture.

Our commitment to sustainability is our equity in the peanut industry to nurture, advance and steward, especially in the least developed countries.

The report features about our humble beginnings in India 55 years ago, foraying into building global brands and products, detailing global perspective of peanuts, industry collaborations, certifications and recognitions, our stakeholders mapping and the pillars to define our success and opportunities within the sustainability. And how we prioritised our sustainability KPIs on the basis of materiality assessment, UN SDGs as well integration of 10 principles into our business as a signatory to UNGC COP, reporting inventory of scope-1 & 2 emissions, our impact initiatives, community development, sustainable procurement and the status of other key ESG issues.

This is perhaps the first of its kind at a level and size that we operate as a subset within the peanut industry and hope to set ourselves as the benchmark ahead in our journey towards sustainability. In our next year’s progress, we will report on how we’re progressing about Scope-3 emissions from our supply chains and define net-zero roadmap based on the total carbon footprint as one of the key priorities of our commitment to climate resilience in addition to our strategic business transformation in collaboration with farmer producer organisations and about our global presence.
