Agribusiness in Africa : It is happening now !

I remember in 2013 I had a discussion with a good friend of mine in the US about investing in Africa. He had already spent 12 years without visiting any country in Africa and had a very pessimistic feeling about #Cameroon and #Africa in general, like many other cameroonians and africans abroad that time.
I took me some time to understand the root cause of this impression that many africans carry around and broadcast around them. There are many cause i believe. But the two that seems to be recurring to me are the following :
Too long away from Africa
Most of them have spent more than five years from theirs countries (africans) and have very little string attached in their home countries
Bad pass experience
For many of us in the diaspora, the reason why we left our countries was to find opportunities for our families and subconsciously, we considered our home countries as "the place to stay away from"
Little or no information on home country of Africa
For many african abroad, the information they have from their country is mostly coming from mainstream media : War, corruption, etc...
I came to notice this from the reaction i get from cameroonians that have been abroad for long time when i tell them how many local companies are referenced on www.jangolo.cm only in the food processing business. One of them asked me just two years ago "How is it that after all these year we are still unable to produce chocolate" then i sent him the link to the catalog of agribusinesses in Cameroon www.jangolo.cm/companies.
Have a great week.
