Agreed statistical tables for loss of financial dependency in Australia

In 2015, my colleague Julia Bossert and I prepared a paper entitled “Personal Consumption Percentages in Australia – Current Tables for 2015” which outlined a new approach to estimating personal consumption and financial losses in loss of dependency / compensation to relatives / fatal accidents matters. 

I'm pleased to announce that paper has now been peer reviewed by Corey Plover of Cumpston Sarjeant Actuaries (the firm who prepared the existing “dependency tables” published in Professor Luntz’s 4th edition of Assessment of Damages for Personal Injury and Death ).   A copy of the "Agreed statistical tables for loss of financial dependency in Australia" can be found here.

At the request of Professor Luntz, we have jointly contributed the tables set out in our paper for publication in the upcoming 5th edition of Assessment of Damages for Personal Injury and Death.
