There are two distinctions between employees' satisfaction and dissatisfaction. Satisfaction for an employee comes from motivating factors such as interesting and challenging work, utilization of one 's capabilities, opportunity to do something meaningful, recognition of achievement, and responsibility for one's own work.
Dissatisfaction occurs when factors are not present such as good pay, holidays, vacations, paid benefits, good working conditions, congenial people to work with.
It takes an exceptional leader to move people forward and help generate motivating factors to create internal self motivation. A good leader should get to know the EQ of each of their employees. The EQ of everyone is always very different from another. I totally believe like Dr. Travis Bradberry frequently speaks of; that the EQ within us all puts us where we are today. However, a good leader can bring out the best in others and mentor up. Shouldn't we share our EQ with others?
You know I would much rather have a person with EQ in charge or one with a high IQ.
