AGPI's global assessment relevant to the Jewish community and its pro-Israel friends

As Israel contends with multiple challenges, the recent targeted assassination of Deputy Hamas Chief Saleh Al-Arouri in Beirut, alongside the passing of former Mossad head Zvi Zamir, has gained global attention.

?

During Zamir's funeral echoing his pursuit of Palestinian terrorists in the aftermath of the 1972 Munich massacre, current Mossad Chief David Barnea reiterated a warning regarding those involved in the October 7 massacre, stating, "Let every Arab mother know that if her son took part in the massacre — he signed his own death warrant."

?

Israel's alleged first international strike against Hamas leaders targeted Al-Arouri. Hamas officials will be on the run, never sleeping in the same bed, for years to come. In my National Post article published today, it was expressed that for freedom and democracy to prevail, evil must be eliminated.

?

Leaders of Hamas, including Al-Arouri, Ismail Haniyeh, Yahya Sinwar, and Mohammed Deif, are responsible for committing crimes against humanity on October 7 and subsequent days. Disturbing acts, such as executions, beheadings, point-blank shootings, rapes, and burning families alive, were videotaped by Hamas - leaving sufficient evidence.?

?

My article contends that Hamas, refers to the murderous rampage of unarmed civilians as a successful "operation," and therefore it poses a threat to Israel's democracy, safety, and security.

?

While our universal aspiration for peace is acknowledged, I emphasized that true peace requires addressing and eliminating evil. No one sheds tears for Osama Bin Laden or for Adolph Hitler himself. I drew a connection to the echoes of innocent souls at Auschwitz, emphasizing the path to peace necessitates eradicating evil for a brighter future for all.? This includes the freedom for Palestinians themselves from Hamas.

?

Despite Israel's evident commitment to self-defence against perceived threats, we strongly reject South Africa's appeal to the International Court of Justice, branding Israel's actions as "genocide." The charges are unfounded, considering the context where Hamas uses its own people as human shields, anticipating a response.

?

South Africa's persistent focus on Israel, especially since the 2001 Durban conference on racism, reflects a biased attitude, overshadowing other nations with notorious human rights abuses. This biased stance has also been observed in academia, as seen in the recent resignation of Harvard President Claudine Gay, who demonstrated a double standard in her testimony before a U.S. congressional committee regarding Jewish students.

?

The tolerance of pro-Palestinian hate on North American campuses by university administrations is starting to face backlash, with philanthropists withdrawing donations, lawsuits filed by Jewish students, and some law firms pledging not to hire graduates involved in anti-Jewish sentiments. But it's not enough. We want to see university presidents standing up to campus antisemitism.?

?

The silence of political leaders in the face of Palestinian demonstrations and attacks on Jewish communities is disappointing (an understatement). AGPI urges leaders to go beyond social media condemnations, calling for arrests, immediate changes to hate crime laws, and prompt consent to press charges by the Attorney General.? Roads leading into Jewish neighbourhoods should not be obstructed and deemed a criminal offence.?

?

AGPI's upcoming film, "The End of the Innocence", premiering in Miami this weekend, addresses this distortion of truth and double standard.? It demands accountability from elected officials and urges pro-Israel politicians to cease providing cover to those not standing with Israel. Emphasizing the distinction between Israel, a free and democratic nation, and Hamas, a terrorist group, AGPI asserts the grave danger of equivocation for Western democratic nations.

?

As an organization dedicated to human rights, freedom, and democracy, AGPI views its mission as crucial in preserving democracy and human rights and in combating antisemitism and educating the public and leaders. Our call to action extends gratitude to those standing with AGPI in upholding these ideals.

?

?"Am Israel Chai!" symbolizes the organization's unwavering commitment to the enduring life of the Jewish people.

Sincerely,
