Agné Pargaliauskaité: Despite huge growth, Boozt remains agile and you can have impact

Meet Agné Pargaliauskaité.

In 2014, while pursuing a Finance degree in Lund, Agné began her journey as a Customer Service Agent in Hyllie. Originally from Skuodas in the Northern part of Lithuania, she had moved to Sweden to study, drawn by the opportunity to earn a degree abroad and the presence of family in the region.

How did you start at Boozt?

Boozt was looking for customer service agents who spoke Lithuanian. After just a few months, I could see the company was growing quickly, so I spoke to a manager about opportunities for more responsibility.

That’s how I transitioned into what is now the supply chain department, and from there I moved to Buying & Merchandising. Merchandising, in particular, interested me because it’s closely related to finance.

One day, I was asked to become a junior merchandiser. At the time, the team was small, with only eight merchandisers; today, we have around 30-40 people.

I've been at Boozt for 10 years, but it feels like I’ve worked for different companies because things have changed so much. It’s amazing to look back and see that many of the people who were there when I started are still here and going strong.

What’s the biggest difference between Boozt in 2014 and 2024?

The size of the company, of course—in terms of sales, revenue, and employees.

Although Boozt has grown significantly and is now a public company, many things have stayed the same, which is why I’m still here.

You can still have an impact, gain a lot of responsibility, and work in a diverse and international environment.

Even though the company is now large, it’s still fast-paced and agile, making changes when needed. The startup mentality remains.

Back to the Baltics

In 2021, I decided to move back home, and I had a discussion with the Boozt CEO and co-founder, Hermann Haraldsson, about opening Boozt in the Baltics.

Around the same time, Boozt acquired the development company that today is Boozt Technology Baltics.

Zalando had just entered the market, so the timing aligned well to create a role for me. Today, Boozt Baltics and Boozt Technology Baltics are one happy family. And overall, we're growing, with year-to-date growth in double digits, which is very positive.
