The AgileToCMethod (ATM)

The AgileToCMethod (ATM)

Hello again!

Today I am proud to share (or, reshare) something that I’ve been working on for the last couple of years. Or - depending on how you look at it - the last 40 years.

It’s kinda, but not quite, the sum of my life’s work.

It’s called the AgileToCMethod.

Or the ATM, which (not coincidentally) makes it sound like a money machine.

Here it is in all its 46-word glory:

Here’s a simpler version, with less frills, and only 19 words:

It’s time to elaborate!

But, I don’t want to overwhelm you with detail so, today, all I’m gonna do is ask you to take a quick look at the centre of the diagram, and notice the 2 words in the middle:

The purpose of the ATM is to create a thriving workplace - one that is:

  • profitable,
  • calm, and
  • productive
  • all at the same time.

That’s the sorta place I want to work.

I believe that EVERYONE who works hard DESERVES to work in a thriving workplace.

Good for them, good for their customers, good for their shareholders.

Good for managers. Good for non-managers.

Unfortunately, most hardworking people don't get to work in a place where they fell like they're thriving. Which sucks for them. And ... it's bad for business.

Less joy. Less profits.

Lose-lose.

On a more personal note:

  • As I’ve mulled over the ATM,
  • I’ve?realised?that creating thriving workplaces
  • is?my personal & professional purpose.

Odds are, since you’ve read this far, I suspect you’re similarly wired.

If you have a moment … and want me to share more ... please add a comment, or a like, or send me a message.

The feedback is the fuel that inspires me to keep writing, and without it ... I'd have to rely on willpower, which is in short supply!

Love it! It looks very much like the Genius Model I built a couple years ago.

Seems like you got to the right answer at the end, interested in hearing more about the details.

I love this quote which kind of shows why you want a thriving workplace. “Happy employees ensure happy customers. And happy customers ensure happy shareholders - in that order.“?– Simon Sinek
