Agile values/Principles continues to Evolve..Modern Agile by joshua kerievsky

Today I come across beautiful concept of Modern Agile talk by joshua kerievsky, i felt it is beautiful and amazing.Some the concepts unknowingly i initiated at my work, so it was easy for me to connect with the Principles.As our lives,experiences,learnings evolve over the time..even agile principles evolved and joshua coined it as Modern Agile.Much Thanks to him.Let's understand what is evolved..from his talk

In my opinion very few would have understood the true meaning of adopting AGILE, well as per joshuva it's not just certified ability to Sprint,estimate with story points,conduct standup meetings,restrospection..it is much more to do each of the steps with more purpose and the value it adds.

Make people Awesome over Customer Collaboration You cannot be AGILE without making People feel awesome, then who are People we referring..Customers and the people with whom we work.Various studies showed focusing on customers rather than Products . Ex Amazon does this.

Make Safety a Prerequisite Over Individuals & Interactions "Safety a prerequisite" brings high performance of people, it's to create psychological safety where it is safe to make mistakes and we agree it.It's to show how vulnerable we can be and its absolutely okay. Psychological safety exists when you are not afraid of doing any of the below mentioned .For example not to be afraid to disagree, usually while disagreeing with superiors it usually holds back people as fear drives.When fear drives none of these processes work.Start conducting psychologically safe meetings by encoraging everyone to contribute,listen to one another,avoid dominating/interrupting,be non judgemental.

Experiment & Learn Rapidly over Responding to Change this says lets drive change and can be done by experimenting, doing something-making mistakes-learn and adopt again experiment, so the cycle goes on.Many great organizations like Amazon has adopted.Do-Fail-Learn-Repeat. Also another way to adopt is Continuous retrospection on daily basis instead of waiting for sprint to end.

Deliver Value Continuosly Over Working Software Sometimes invalidating an idea is more valuable than coding working software.Focus on delivering value every single day.Book "Lean Startup" by Eric Ries speaks about Doing the Impossible on average of 50 times a day, in 2007 at IMVU ,which tried deployement of build almost 50 times a day on 36 machines to millions of users, learn how to create Safe deployment pipeline.
