Agile Tales

Day starts with me looking at my In Progress and my To Do list. I know my throughout is only 7 tasks or stories per day and that's my WIP limit for the entire board. My say/do ratio is 75-80% and I rarely achieve 100%. The day I have spare time, I look at picking up tasks which can get completed within the given duration rather than pickup things randomly from To Do list. I start grooming my tasks 2-3 days ahead of time. I have completed more in life today than anytime before, example: I have completed reading three books this year, I could only complete 5 books in my life so far. I make sure that I read one new thing everyday even if that means one page. 

You might think what's Agile in all this and I am also not sure but the discipline is helping me transform my day and becoming a better person. I started doing this after going through "Agile Ninja Coach" program in TCS. I will not be wrong if I say that the program helped me understand me better. It's a journey of a thousand mile that was fast tracked on that eventful day and I don't know how much I have covered but one thing that drives me one step at a time is the network of coaches that we have built over time and the energy of neighborhoods.

This movement of becoming Enterprise Agile is infectious and it has touched all of us in some way of other and we have contributed in our own little way towards this. We are the movement and we are meant to move together.

I think Agile is when An Organization Goes beyond the books and definitions in Institutionalizing an Innovation and Learning culture and helps create authentic Experiences. I can truly say that we are doing this everyday at TCS.
