Agile; DASSAM and Project Management in Practice

In this today`s era of GenAI one thing that is here to stay is Agile ways of working. The very foundation of Agile goes with Agile Manifesto that lays the foundation of its practice established more than a decade ago.

Practitioners should also be cognizant of other practice that is emerging and going to be there in any and every IT project that is Disciplined Agile Senior Scrum Master role (DASSM). While the Industry and the term is still emerging it is good to know that it`s the hybrid project management tool extracted from many methodologies.

While agile is the way where we build deeper collaboration by being partner to our client. DASSM is more holistic where we cater to every role engaged in the practice. It focuses of the maturity level of team to establish its ways of working (WOW).

Project Management role here is not only just to check the feasibility but to operate dynamically and understand the value proposition of Product and working closely with the Product Management team. It`s just not execution but to set up vision of why we are choosing the project and what different it can make. WOW is the crux that lies on the shoulder of Project manager that can not add a USP to the product but to entire work culture.

Companies should never ignore the out of box thinking of the Project Managers who are there not only to get works done but got that empathetic quotient and emotional intelligence that can make work interesting.

Last but not the least; what can be a game changer is when everyone in team is aligned to their core life purpose and choose sweet spot of their passion while being in the Project. Irony is at times people stick under pressure of society or waiting till end of month when the mobile beeps.        

How about the ecosystem is such when everyone is driven towards not only the end results of what difference Project go live can make. In the process all stakeholders including team end up growing not only professional but personally too.

The onus here lies majorly on Project Management and Product Management team who should not only be thinking about NPS on emails but on relationships too.

I hope we Project Managers; Program Managers and Product managers makes world better place by contributing to economy; human tribe and ourselves.
