About the Episode
There is a lot of talk about headless, #composable, MACH, and the like these days, including this show. And I can say from personal experience that there are many instances where they are the perfect fit. But, as with any technology solution, it’s not always a one-size-fits-all. Sometimes #headless isn’t the right fit, or a more nuanced approach is needed. Today we’re going to talk about this as well as how low-code or no-code solutions can help teams make the most of their website redesign.
To discuss this topic, host Greg Kihlstrom welcomes Liz Spranzani , Chief Technology Officer, EVP of Technology at Verndale .
ALSO: Congrats to host Greg Kihlstr?m for being named the #1 Marketing Thought Leader in 2024 by Thinkers360

Here are three key takeaways from our conversation:
1?? "Headless" as the Right Approach: We explore the concept of "headless" in the context of marketing technology. Our guest, Liz Spranzani, Chief Technology Officer at Verndale, shares her expertise on why headless might be the right approach sometimes, but not always. She breaks down the pros and cons, giving listeners a comprehensive understanding of this evolving landscape.
2?? Embracing Personalization and Experimentation: Liz emphasizes the importance of embracing personalization and experimentation in creating exceptional customer experiences. Instead of getting caught up in the minutiae of design, she encourages brands to focus on the outcome they want to achieve. By leveraging third-party platforms and tools, brands can enhance personalization, conduct A/B testing, and drive meaningful results.
3?? The Role of DXP and Platform Expansion: Liz also sheds light on the role of Digital Experience Platforms (DXPs) and platform expansion. She discusses the challenges organizations face in keeping up with rapidly evolving technology and shares insights on platform evaluations. If you're interested in staying ahead of the curve and ensuring technical delivery excellence, this part of the episode is a must-listen.
