The earthquake in Nepal, April 2015 devastated and uprooted the lives of the Nepalese, leaving more than eight million in dire situations with urgent health and safety issues.?

Buna stepped up and coordinated efforts with the U.S. Congress to secure Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Nepalese living in the United States. Her actions meant that those with TPS could travel home and back to the States with ease, allowing them to bring aid to their family and friends in need.?

Then, the devout humanitarian organized a shipment of over $500,000 worth of medical supplies to the victims of the natural disaster.?
