Hi there, how is your summer going?
I’m in London together with my husband and our daughters as we’re going to see ABBA, well their avatars, at the technologically probably most cutting-edge concert so far.
And I can’t wait to meet my 2 co-founders of the Women for Longevity Club Nikolina Lauc & Claudia von Boeselager in person … for the first time ever that all 3 of us meet face-to-face.
And now on to this week’s Ageless Lifestyle Tips …
Come Across as More Intelligent & As Better Leader …
… by consciously lowering your voice somewhat and speaking louder with a clear voice (study).
Women portraying more dominant voices with less hoarseness are perceived to be better and more intelligent leaders.
Lower Your Blood Pressure …
… by adding about 2-3 gram of omega‐3 fatty?acids to your daily diet (study).
If you’re at higher risk for cardiovascular diseases, like already having higher blood pressure or cholesterol, you might profit from taking even higher doses of EPA/DHA.
Where do you get that much EPA/DHA?
Primarily in fish like salmon (about 5 ounces or 140 g) or mackerel (about 3 ounces or 90 g). You can also enjoy trout, herring & sardines. Eating that much fish every day might not be ideal though as they might contain heavy metals or other undesirable substances.
A vegan alternative is Algal oil.
Or … you can … of course … supplement. Just make sure that the supplement you choose is fresh and of high quality.
I personally tend to supplement with Life Extension’s Super Omega-3 Plus with EPA/DHA Fish Oil, Sesame Lignans, Olive Extract, Krill & Astaxanthin.
It’s actually the only way I’ve been able to stay mostly free of my psoriasis for about 20 years.
The Legal Side of Being Alive Longer …
… You might have thought about what it means to be truly alive.
But are you alive when your body and mind are ‘frozen’ in cryopreservation to be resurrected again in the future?
And what about uploading your mind?
What does the law say about all that?
Read a Jeunessima Magazine 26 abstract from a fascinating interview I had with lawyer & longevity activist Paul Spiegel.
“I can't imagine why people would want to be something other than alive.”
This is what Paul Spiegel, Attorney, Entrepreneur, Honorary Consul to the Republic of San Marino, Consultant, … and Longevity Advocate said when we interviewed him on the Future of Aging.
But what does being alive truly mean? Are we alive when we cryopreserve our bodies and minds … or when we upload our minds to some computer?
And once our bodies and minds can be alive longer, what does the law say about that?
?The Legal Side of Alternative Longevity
Imagine you are cryopreserved, and you come out of cryostasis 15 or 20 years after your death certificate had been signed.
That can cause all sorts of problems and has not been legally addressed so far.
Imagine you had real estate, a full bank account, other assets. They have, of course, as is common, been distributed to, for instance, your children.

But now you are back. What happens now?
Or, if you have gotten your mind uploaded, do you have the right to do anything you want in an uploaded state?
Probably not.
What if you decide to duplicate yourself to create digital copies … with a few variations … Maybe you do that a few times until all of a sudden, you have reproduced 100 million times.
You are putting an incredible strain on the system.
But who of you owns what? Who is responsible for anything your digital copies do? And who pays for all that strain that all those versions of you put on the system?
These are all fascinating thought experiments.

When Are You Most Productive? …
… To be at your very best & get loads of stuff done it’s quite important to understand when your brain reaches peak performance, when it’s better to take a break, and what might distract you.
Over the years and decades, I’ve tried different things like writing down when I’ve done what and how it felt. But … to be honest … that usually didn’t last very long. Too much effort!
So, when I got my Enophone, a headset that just looks like an ordinary audio headset but also functions as a wearable mental fitness tracker, I was super excited.
I’ve been wearing it several times this week … I’m actually wearing it as I’m writing this mail to you.
So, what does it do? And why is it a great device to have in your toolbox?
Well, first, it actually measures how well your brain is working as you do your tasks. It gives you 3 scores: Mental effort, readiness & efficiency.
Over time, you’ll be able to see what times are best for you … and get actual recommendations from Eno.
Eno also tracks the apps you’ve used. So, for me, who is doing a lot of research and writing, most of my time is spent on Google and Word. Others might find out that they spend a lot of time on social media when their brain’s effort would be better focused on getting other business-related tasks done.
What I also like very much is that while you wear Eno, you can also ask it to play focus music to you depending on your mood … and adapting to real-time changes in your brain as you get your work done.
Later this year, Eno will also be adding meditation that adjusts to your brain.
So, all in all, this is a fabulous device that I will keep using to be at my best … and I recommend it to anybody who wants to do the same.
Quote of the Week …
All that we are is the result of what we have thought - Buddha
Have fun … stay young,
Ines
