Agecroft Partners adds Jerry Wang for new Hong Kong Office

Agecroft Partners is expanding its reach in Asia by opening a Hong Kong office and welcoming industry veteran Jerry Wang, as a business partner of Agecroft. Wang, along with an associate to be named soon, will manage all capital introduction services for Agecroft's alternative investment manager clients, as well as other leading alternative investment firms seeking to connect with qualified professional investors in Hong Kong in compliance with local regulatory standards. Through Ge Shang Investment (GSI), the Hong Kong team will operate with a licensed entity under the oversight of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC). Wang will also lead efforts to grow Asian participation in Agecroft's affiliate, GAINING THE EDGE events. Agecroft's William Clarke will continue to oversee the firm's operations in Singapore and Australia.

Wang brings over 30 years of experience in Hong Kong’s institutional investment industry. A graduate of Northwestern University, Wang began his career at Merrill Lynch, where he first worked with Agecroft’s founder, Don Steinbrugge. In 2000, he launched Vision Investment Management, which grew to become one of Asia’s largest hedge fund of funds. “We are thrilled to partner with Jerry, whose deep expertise in alternative investments and strong reputation across Asia will be invaluable,” said Steinbrugge. “We have been friends for many years, and I’m optimistic about the growth potential in Hong Kong.
