Age is only a number; what matters is the life itself is lived to the fullest!

Today I cross a milestone in my life! 50 years into my existence in this world I look back at the many happy moments of life with my dear family, true friends and the many peers in my career that crossed my path and showed the positive way forward; all of whom I truly value and cherish. There were others who pushed me down, the sad days and times filled with adversity too; but they motivated me to pick myself up and face every challenge head on as part & parcel of life. The road has not been easy with lots ups, downs, twists,?turns, &?bumps; my wife Aman walking each stride together supported by my determined and inspiring children Jagpreet & Simran gave me the strength and will power to do my best in all my endeavors to come out stronger each time and strive forward... never to look back again!

Guru Nanak Dev Ji quote on honest living has always inspired me.... Truth is the highest virtue, but higher still is truthful living.

On my half century, and exactly this day marks the 5th anniversary with Kuehne+Nagel, I am blessed to embark within the organisation on a new challenge today in an important APAC regional role to further define my legacy in contributing to Road Logistics which included government agency collaborated projects, pioneering go green sustainability initiatives here, promoting an assured road freight product with dedicated specialised truck fleets and embarking on the digital transformation with eTrucknow.

My years in Police NS and working for the government in my early career; set up a strong foundation for me to learn, excel and achieve success contributing to what I am today.

Today, my Road Logistics team in the Singapore Malaysia cluster gave me a surprise Birthday celebrated with a cake cutting and an emotional Zoom farewell. They recognised my contributions in their careers with a very nice plaque to remember… Thank you to each one of them; they will remain a special team always!?My years in Police NS and working for the government in my early career; set up a strong foundation for me to excel and achieve.

To my own amazement, till today I am still winning trophies in my favorite sports. My passion in everything I do has come from the love of Football (Go Man Utd !) where from a very early age (Zone 1st in St Thomas, Captain in Jurong Institute and Champion for Tampines Rovers FC and Singapore Khalsa). I learnt the spirit of competitiveness, commitment to your team, hard work for positive outcomes, focusing on shared goals, determination to win within rules, no fear if you believe in yourself and last but not least camaraderie, dedication and above all respect in defeat and humility in victory. These values will remain etched in my heart, body and soul....?

In life I have gained a lot through learning, experiences, expertise that provided happiness, success and prosperity; and now the time is ripe to give back to society and to contribute my knowledge back for others to gain and to pass on... on... on.... that is life! In the next half of the century, I do not know how long I will live; in the time left and many blessings I hope every breath is dedicated to the 3 pillars of Sikhism; Naam?Japna (focus of God) , Kirat?Karni (honest living) and Vand?Chakna (sharing with others).?

Always respect the elders and encourage the youth!?
