Age of Information and Covid-19

Back to back paper acceptances!

Quickly disseminating the latest ground reality of the COVID-19 situation, such as the emergence of new viral hotbeds and affected areas in a city, is essential to containing the spread of the lethal virus. From a cellular system point-of-view, this a highly challenging task given the unreliable nature of wireless channels and the mobility of the users. In our latest paper, accepted to the International Symposium on Information Theory (ISIT 2020), our lab at IITM has developed a new scheduling algorithm with mathematically provable guarantees even under the most adversarial channel state dynamics.

The link to the paper is given below.

To encourage further development, we are also making the relevant code public.

Together, we will surely be able to defeat this enemy of humanity. Stay safe, everyone!
