Neal shares ideas – suggestions – points - insights and examples of how You can accomplish the same results.

HIGHLIGHTS

1.?????This book should be considered a “Guide | Playbook" for Marketers regardless of the size of the brand and is divided into four parts; 1) Why Influencer Marketing? 2) Understanding Influencers and the Ways you Can Engage with Them 3) How To Work With Influencers To Generate Massive Results and 4) Becoming An Influencer Yourself.

2.?????Today, it is more the norm than not - that people have MORE than one job. Side Gigs are the standard and especially since people took time over the past two years to actualize their passions and interests. If you have a side gig OR if you are in a professional role as a Marketer - Neal Schaffer offers a vast assortment of specific ideas.

3.?????Humans are SOCIAL Beings and therefore, throughout history, we have been a part of each other’s decisions. Meaning that WOM (Word of Mouth) has moved from physical space to Digital Space.

4.?????Neil expresses the importance of understanding the DIGITAL CLIMATE today. Thanks to a mass variety of Social Media Platforms everyone can be a PUBLISHER. Are you creating content of Value?

5.?????We hear it over and over – People TRUST People. The challenge is building relationships in a “digital-first” world. Naturally, it takes TIME to build relationships. Engagement AKA Conversations are an ideal way to develop relationships.

6.?????Neal focuses this book of INFLUENCERS on ANYONE with a Platform and an Audience. If the budget is there then great to engage with Influencers who require a fee - however, if not, there are numerous other options within your own community.

7.?????Regardless of the size of the business, anyone and everyone can leverage Influencers. (don’t think in terms of the Kardashians but instead those you might already be connected to.) Can you Gift a Product or Service | How can you provide an Affiliate? | Can they provide User Generated Content?)

8.?????Social Media is continually evolving as it is organic in that it responds to the users. You cannot remain stagnant or you become irrelevant. (stay Intune with each platform – the demographics – how it is used and how it is changing).

9.?????As shared above I appreciate the "real world examples". On page 153, Neal shares the example of W Hotels and how they began searching their 165,000 Instagram followers to eventually find a photographer who traveled the world and had a large following. (do the same “backend research” by reviewing your followers. Who can you reach out to that would be the ideal partner?)

10.??ROI – Return on Investment is a critical component and yet, often underutilized. Neal asks WHAT do you want to Accomplish and asks us to “Measure Success”. (identify your KPI’s Key Performance Indicators. Are you seeking Brand Awareness or Sales) KNOW what you want to accomplish.

AUTHOR’S INTENT (in my humble opinion) Neal Schaffer reminds us of the intense power of digital media and how it has transformed HOW WE COMMUNICATE. He provides not only the background but also specific ideas on ways to embrace Influencers. This is nothing new BUT Neal does a phenomenal job of sharing Who | What | Why | Where & How in ways everyone can relate to.

1.?????Anyone with a List, Followers, or Community is an Influencer.

2.?????Embrace Neal’s outstanding ideas and think in terms of HOW can you use them with “your own “Tiny Army”.
