The Age of Empathy

The Age of Empathy

In his book published towards the end of 2009 Frans de Waal expertly herhalds in the age of empathy and his first words are 'Greed is out, Empathy is in.'

When I read books by brilliant minds like Frans de Waal, I always have to pinch myself as they are normally decades ahead of their time. Us normal people only get to where they were decades later, if everything goes okay, that is. Humanity incurs delays.

There is hope though. The road is being cleared for humankind to progress and truly become the green meme that Spiral Dynamics has being steering us towards for equally as long.

In doing some research on the work of Frans de Waal I found this wonderful TED TALK by him. Visual quality is not too good but it is worth it.

Watch till the end!
