Against All Odds

If you think about it all of life is based on chance. Everything we do has some degree of risk in it. When we are young we tend to take more risks. This could be due to a sense of invincibility or due to lack of experience or both. As we get older and get more experienced, we understand more about the inevitable. At this point, we tend to leave less to chance and generally make more informed choices. Of course, if we do our homework as well act morally and ethically, our risks are lower and the chance of success in whatever endeavor we pursue is better.
