Again..... NO Indian University...... among top 100 QS ranks......But Does it matter ??

• QS rankings are released every year in month of June and we see some similarities and some surprises
• Similarities are that No Indian University has ever entered among top 100 ranks
• Surprises are that IITs and IISc keep shifting their places
• This year 2025 IITB & IITD could get place among top 150 global institutes as per ranking
• We always ask this question .....will any Indian institute ever attain double digit in QS rank

Million dollar question is ......do we even need to bother about these ranks or there should be different parameter to know quality of education imparted by our institutes.....

We know IITs are the best academic and research institutes in India and are doing wonderful even in global perspective but may be due to couple of reasons and factors dont find position among top 100 ranks.....here are some reasons which are beyond our control and whcih we should not even bother .....

Any institute is not free from its eco system.....let me explain......where would you like to stay....In New York or in Kharagpur ........when you see the city where institute is located and the opportunities available after graduation then obviously you will choose the institute as per location.....Now please think how much extra effort you need to put to make someone come and study in Kharagpur rather than New York

What is easier and practical.......American citizen coming and studying in Kanpur or Indian citizen going and studying in Stanford? .......One of the very important parameter in QS ranking is the student diversity in terms of their nationality.....now the fact is that American citizen not coming and studying in IIT is not only dependent on what is there inside the campus of IIT but also entire geo political eco system

IITs IISc are the best in academics, research, teachers, labs, students etc ....but since these are located in India hence QS ranks will certainly go to their disadvantages.......

So any educational institute has most basic responsibility to impart quality education to the students, In my opinion IITs fulfill the expectations of such a vast nation

Impact on the life of an Individual through quality education will be globally highest in the campuses of IITs.......Think of a student of remotest part of India comes and gets almost free education and then goes out with wonderful job and feeds entire hos family.......

I really think that this per individual impact on life through education is highest in top Indian institutes
