Again at a High Decible.......

3.30 AM ---Ding...Dong... Calling Bell rang at my door step. The door opened with volleys of queries .. Papa... so late......this is already early morning.... could have waited back till sunrise ..... told my daughter, with slightly opened eyes..... OK...It is alright...I said. Go and sleep now.... By the way how many days were sunny in Delhi since last week? She looked towards me with no sign on face and left to sleep again. Must have thought, I am asking or sure that there hardly any sunny days in Delhi in Winter??

7.30 AM---Morning ... Tea and News Paper in my hand..... Any new experience this time from your trip... This is question being asked by my daughter each time I return from my tour which I am taking religiously since last 20 odd years..... and she asks me this question since last 15 years. Every time ... She listens to a new live experience... probably helps to understand the world she lives........

Yes..... Champ... this time also a new experience... This goes by as

7.55 AM..... (Back Date) - Reached IGI T3 Air port.... Boarding Pass... Security... Waiting... Boarding at 9.15 AM ... Took the seat..... Fastened seat belt and slept..... which normally I do with out fail........ Flight must have took off at 9.55 AM.

10.20 AM - Mr. Mishra.....Mr. Mishra.... What would your like to eat and have the beverage? Noodles and Coffee..... I replied and had it. Finished by 10.40 AM. Stretched a bit.... Looked around all most every one either busy in food or finished....

11.05 AM - Though why not to go behind and stretch a more......

11.08 AM - At the Tail end of the air craft... Saw three of our hostess are having a cup of coffee each of them.. smiled at me and asked me... Sir can we help you... Is aid no.... just stretching a bit.... I replied... One of them offered a coffee and I accepted without giving a second thought and started a conversion with these young minds...

So this is yourwork place, I asked. Yes Sir, Sky is our office, where we work... one of them replied. I am amazed with the response. How much you enjoy your profession.... I asked again.... We all sir.... Another replied. But, so much of noise at your work place... don't you feel irritated.... nausea.... any other issue like listening to any thing at high decibel..... Like, to my assumption.... your work place must have noise level alomost 100 dB.... My third question..... All of them took silence at their side.

The youngest of them replied.... Initially it was... but we are used to it now. By the way the noise level in side air craft varies with cruise speed and altitude...... and if you will average out the noise level, it is manageable.... one more guarded reply from the senior most.....

Do you also use personal protective equipment.... I asked and they started laughing with a comment.... Absolutely no Sir, Then how we will work? This is hazard we understand but we have to live with this... one painful statement.

Any act for manufacturer or service agency to protect you from these hazarad... I asked again... Reply came.... We are nearing for landing Sir,... Would mind returning to your seat now? ... One of them told me with a smile.......

I returned to my seat..... and some time later one of them came to me and asked... Sir are from media... I said no...no... I am an environmental professional.... and asked you the things as we are also fighting on surface on several issue like ... No Honking..... No High Industrial Noise..... No In high decibel calling to Almighty at time of of the day.... No high noise dance being at HIGH...... ... So many Highs and Noise related issue... so thought to understand that whether we can add one more reason of high to the list... She laughed and announced ....... Ladies & Gentlemen... we are landing shortly at..........

On my way out they all were there at gate to wish me all goods and a commitment that I should not say whom do I spoke to at AIR.....about the HIGH NOISE in work places of SKY........

11.30 AM- My daughter asked any solution Papa.... I said technology in collaboration with human ethics may solve this issue... No act will help......

11.42 AM - I got a cup of tea and a warning from my wife.... Enough... now... go and take bath.... Again at a High Decible... My daughter said and laughed...........
