And on the afternoon of the sixth day . . .

And on the afternoon of the sixth day . . .

I rested. I deserved it. I’d beaten the record chronicled in Genesis.

In just 136 hours, I created The Universe . . . the new four-book series for Scholastic Library Publishing.

In the beginning there was the Word, MS Word . . . I did the rest. With engaging photos, clear diagrams, and simple language, these four books — The Sun, The Moon, The Stars, and Earth — bring complex science alive for early elementary readers. And to lighten the fire and brimstone factor, we created “Rocket”, an intelligently designed cartoon space dog guide. Here’s a quick peek.

Now that you’ve seen a sample of what I’ve made, if you find yourself thinking, “Behold! It is good,” keep me in mind for your next book creation. I won’t rest until you’re happy with all you survey.

Thanks for looking.

Best, Tom Carling
