The afterglow of a successful pilot ??

From pilots to webinars, here is what's happening at Devanthro

Our COO Kim Nilsson has a PhD in Astrophysics and she told me that studying the “afterglow” of powerful stellar explosions in the Universe is one of the best ways to learn how the Universe, and stars and galaxies, formed.

So, in April we studied the afterglow of our splendid pilot in March, and began introducing these learnings into our Robody. We also loved the posts from the Diakoniezentrum Pirmasens team and a fantastic short video released by OKTV (in German with English subtitles). It’s probably the best introduction to what we do to date - so if you want to show someone what we do, sharing that video is a great start.

We are now busy upgrading Robody to be ready for additional pilots coming this summer. The big reveal will come soon enough, but we can already say that Robody will have transformed quite a bit!

There were also a several events we’ve been to: A project progress meeting with OTH Regensburg, TU Munich & Sch?n Klinik, Sch?n Klinik’s 30 years anniversary and of course Altenpflege Messe in Essen.

Key Achievements

• We took part in the Altenpflegemesse - Germany’s largest fair for everything elderly care-related - in Essen
• We held two webinars with ambulant care organisations in partnership with vediso e.V. and AAL Programme Official , and got valuable and interesting feedback from the attendees.
• We have been selected to represent Germany in a German-French start-up exchange programme, including being part of and exhibiting at Viva Technology in Paris in May. If you are there, be sure to come see us at booth D11!

News from Robotics, Health Tech and XR

?? Sometimes you just got to yell… at your robot. The YAY Robot team have developed algorithms to train robotic movements with natural language commands.

?? “Among 25- to 49-year-olds, 1.1 million people [in the UK] do not work because of caring responsibilities (about a million of whom are women).”

?? A recent announcement from Meta says they will open up their Horizon OS for other applications. Will Horizon OS be the “Windows OS” of VR hardware in the future?
