After the Summer Break: Strengthen School Health Literacy – Complete the RYHEALTH EU4Health Survey

Dear friends,

Breaks are not just opportunities to pause but also crucial moments for evaluating and adjusting our goals. They provide us with the chance to recharge and enhance our mental well-being. A summer break in August is a perfect example of such a respite, helping us gain fresh perspectives and rejuvenate our resources.

As the author of the RYHEALTH - Rock Your Health project, part of the European Beating Cancer Plan, I am especially proud of the progress we have made during the last 21 months and the achievements we anticipate in the coming months. OAC Old Account contributes its extensive expertise to this project, handling two key work packages: the RYHEALTH Hub and the areas of Impact and Dissemination. Through these roles, we play a significant part in successfully implementing the project and effectively communicating our results.

Our approach is integral to the broader EU strategy for enhancing health literacy, as outlined in the European Cancer Plan. In addition to RYHEALTH, other significant EU4Health projects also contribute to advancing health literacy. These include The Inclusive Healthy Lifestyle Groups in Schools IHGLS-Project and Schools4Health-Project.

- IHLGIS promotes inclusive healthy lifestyle groups within schools. It supports schools in implementing integrative approaches to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

- Schools4Health project collaborates with schools to analyse, implement, and evaluate good practices in the fields of healthy nutrition, physical activity, and mental health.
