Passive
Passive communicators tend to hold back their thoughts and opinions, often preferring to listen rather than speak up in conversations or group settings.
They usually avoid conflicts or disagreements and may choose to remain silent rather than express disagreement or assert themselves in challenging situations.
Passive communicators are also less likely to take the lead in conversations, preferring to follow others' cues and directions.
This also means that there is often a hesitation to share their opinions or ideas for fear of criticism or rejection from others.
Passive aggressive
Passive aggressive communicators often use covert tactics to express their displeasure or undermine others, such as backhanded compliments, gossip, or full blown sabotage.
They may subtly undermine others' efforts or success by withholding information, spreading rumors, or intentionally making mistakes.
These individuals would be the type to agree to requests or instructions but fail to follow through properly or intentionally perform the task poorly as a way of expressing their resistance or frustration.
The use of manipulation tactics to get what they want or to punish others indirectly for perceived slights or grievances may be quite common as well.
Aggressive
Aggressive communicators tend to dominate conversations or interactions, often speaking loudly and forcefully to assert their opinions or demands.
They frequently engage in arguments or debates, often adopting a confrontational stance and refusing to back down even in the face of opposition.
Oftentimes they may engage in bullying behavior, such as belittling, ridiculing, or humiliating others to assert power or control over them.
Aggressives may show little empathy or understanding towards others' perspectives or feelings, focusing solely on their own needs or desires.

Assertive
Assertives communicate in a respectful manner, valuing the opinions and feelings of others while also expressing their own thoughts and needs clearly and directly.
They express themselves clearly and concisely, using straightforward language to communicate their ideas, needs, or boundaries effectively.
They set and maintain healthy boundaries in their interactions with others, clearly communicating their limits and expectations without being overly aggressive or passive.
Assertive communicators make decisions confidently and decisively, taking into account relevant information and input from others while ultimately trusting their own judgment.
