After GGI, I joined Asian Development Bank (ADB)

After GGI, I got an opportunity to work with a Asian Development Bank (ADB) , focusing on economic research and development impact.

"Hi, I am Darshita, a GGI Fellow from the 2021 cohort.

GGI came into my life when I was working with EY but realized that audit was not my forte or long-term career.

This became my biggest motivation to join the GGI Impact Fellowship. There, my journey started. I was able to learn so much about #impactconsulting and management consulting, and I met so many people who helped me build my career in this space.

I truly learned the art of networking and connected with individuals who had been there and done that. I attended all the masterclasses diligently, interacted with speakers, and engaged with those who taught live cases. It’s been almost four years since I’ve been associated with GGI, and the experience has been transformative."

Q: So, what are 3 specific things that stood out for you in your GGI journey, especially from the #interview standpoint?

1. I attended all the masterclasses very well and tried to interact with all the speakers and those who taught the live cases. This helped me gain valuable insights and prepare for interviews.
2. I met so many people who had been there and done that. They helped me with my CV, cover letter, references, and cracking interviews.
3. had a Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C in place. I made an Excel sheet with dream firms, target firms, and reach firms. I also leveraged cold outreach on LinkedIn, reaching out to senior people at organizations and offering what I could contribute.

Q: What will be your message for the GGI cohort of 2025?

1. Leverage the network. Actively connect with your peers and mentors-: they are a goldmine of insights and support.
2. Make the most of programs like Impact Fellowship. Push yourself outside your comfort zone- you'll be surprised at what you can achieve.
