I'll keep it short.
You went to school. Went to college. Got a degree. Landed a job.
Years went by. You kept doing the same work as your degree taught you.
You grew a lot. You learnt a little.
Times are changing. Times are changing faster than ever.
What happened in 500 years started happening in 50 years and is now happening in 5 years.
Our beloved 'degrees' are depreciating in value as we work. That's simply because what we learnt isn't valid 5 years later.
The rules are changing. The game itself is changing. If we can't change ourselves, we will slowly be made redundant by the same system.
Nobody clearly knows what's next, but we've got to be ready to change. To learn. To adapt.
We've got to let go of our egos, got to let go of our vanity.
Let us learn to keep learning before our invaluable degrees become lesser valuable.
p.s : Doesn't exactly apply to Doctors and Lawyers and Accountant and the likes.

8 年Completely aggredd boss. We live in a world which is changing at a great pace. And to be in demand we have to keep on upgrading our skills. It can be only done by learning .. continous learning So make learning as the habit. And for that we need to work on our Observation and Reading skills.

8 年This reminded of worthless but rather expensive certificate program on Digital Marketing by IIM's. Specifically for digital, things change every few months. But IIM's got to make them Dolla's while those who can afford don't mind learning outdated practises and have a digital notch on their resume.
