After carbon footprint

After carbon footprint

December is a month where many people take the opportunity to relax or take a short break before starting the New Year. But tourism, as well as any human activity, has consequences for the environment.

The carbon footprint is a term used to describe the amount of greenhouse gas emissions that our activities leave on the planet. And tourism is no exception. For this reason, ecotourism has gained positions in recent years, since it invites travelers to discover and visit different tourist spots without destroying or harming them.

But that is not all. Voluntary carbon markets are an initiative that seeks to offset the carbon footprint generated by consumers and small businesses. In this way, the markets sell credits that are destined to finance sustainable projects, such as reforestation or energy efficiency.

At ALF we are aware of the importance of caring for our planet. That is why we organize different Leadership Summits, where we address issues relevant to today's global challenges, such as green and circular economies, technological innovation, creative economy and the empowerment of women.
