Tomatoes used to be sold at very good market prices in the Kolar market.

Chintamani market is also very good for tomatoes.

27 tons load in 14 tires truck and 21 tons load in 12 tires truck.

In Kolkata / Cuttack / Bhubaneswar big onion has a good market while fine Gulti/small size onion also has a good market in Bangalore because in South Anna people use small size onion in sambar, so Bangalore has a good demand for this small size onion throughout the year.

We used to get food allowance but to save money, we used to take millet flour from home, used small stoves for cooking...we used to buy potatoes/tomatoes from the market...if there were 2-3 trucks, we stopped at one place. We used the stove to cook food, saving a lot of money and hotel food expenses. There was no question of an upset stomach after eating food.

We get 5000 rupees per month, 3500 thousand per trip allowance, and 150 rupees food allowance.

We used to keep the owner's truck as our own, we made a lot of acquaintances by traveling around.

The owner was also very kind, no matter how dirty our clothes were, or how sweaty we were, the owner would sit next to us for breakfast when we came to the market, and pay all our driver's bills. He treats all drivers as his family members.

And much more.

On a journey today...A few things from a chat with a man who has worked as a driver on a train across India.

Sometimes you don't get to learn these things on Google or in a paid workshop seminar, but you learn so much important things from an hour's chat with a simple person

After all, experience is the greatest teacher indeed...
