HANANE BOUJEMI

Public Policy & Regulatory Affairs Manager: MENA & Turkey, Meta

Mrs. Boujemi is an international Internet Policy expert, with 17 years of experience in the economic and legal aspects of Internet Policy and Governance. Her work focuses on the policy and regulatory challenges deploying emerging technologies and she has extensive experience in market analysis, negotiations, and business development.

In Hanane's role at Meta, she is responsible for developing and executing strategies to address regulatory challenges and opportunities across the region, she leads on engagement opportunities, regulatory content development, regional and global best practices and thought leadership.

OLUFUNSO SOMORIN

Regional Principal Officer, African Development Bank

Dr. Olufunso Somorin leads the Bank’s work on climate change and green growth in the 13 countries of the Bank’s East African region.

This includes supporting countries’ access to climate finance for implementing their climate actions and mainstreaming climate change in all Bank policies and programs. He also leads policy dialogues with national/regional governments on developing policy frameworks for managing local/regional economic and social issues, climate change, renewable energy, resilience, and inclusive growth.

KUSENI DLAMINI

Chairman, Massmart

Kuseni Dlamini is Chairman of the Board of South Africa’s Massmart Holdings Limited. He also serves as Chairman of JSE–listed Aspen Pharmacare Holdings Ltd.

He is the former Chief Executive Officer of Old Mutual South Africa and Emerging Markets. As part of his career in mining, he held a number of senior positions at AngloGold Ashanti and De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd in South Africa and the United Kingdom. In 2008, he was named a ‘Young Global Leader (YGL)’ by the World Economic Forum.

ISABELLE HAJRI

Chief Marketing Officer, Ooredoo Algeria

Isabelle joined Ooredoo Algeria as Chief Marketing Officer in 2019. After graduating from Montreal Business School in Canada, she began her career as a consultant in the telecom sector.

She now has over 25 years of international experience, previously holding senior roles in marketing, business development, strategy and finance in the Americas, Europe, MENA and South-East Asia.

Her track record includes introducing innovative new product offerings, launching new operations, turning around under-performing companies, and leading culture change.

NOLLIE MAOTO

Chief Data & Analytics Officer – Merchant Services, FNB South Africa

Nollie Maoto is a Chief Data and Analytics Officer at one of the big 4 banks in South Africa, and has 15+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry.

She's extremely passionate about the data and analytics industry and the global empowerment and advancement of women in the industry.

Nollie has won many awards, including being named the Data Analytics Leader of the Year 2022 by Dalebrook Media, CDO Magazine’s Global Data Power Women for 2022, one of the 2022 Corinium Global Top 100 Leaders in Data & Analytics and is an Inspiring Fifty SA 2021 nominee as one of the 50 most inspiring women in the STEM sectors in South Africa.

DEJAN KASTELIC

Chief Technology Officer, Vodacom

Dejan has served in senior executive roles for 17+ years in the telecommunications and ICT industries across Europe, Asia and Africa.

He was appointed as Chief Technology Officer for Vodacom Group and a member of the Vodacom Group Executive Committee in August 2020.

Before this, Dejan worked in a variety of organisations, including Ooredoo Group, Mobiltel AD, AMIS Ltd, Cluster Executive Director, Vip Mobile (A1) Ltd, and IBM CEE.

AMINE KANDIL

CEO & Founder, N+One Data Centers

Amine is the founder and principal investor of N+ONE DATACENTERS, the first and major data center provider in Morocco, where it operates the largest footprint of independent data centers spread across multiple campuses.

The team built expertise of 15 years in data centers design deployment and management, with innovative solutions for the local market’s challenges. N+ONE developed its vision of diverse digital solutions by deploying Private and Public Cloud platforms as well as many added-value services. N+ONE is now deploying new facilities in African with the first data centers announced in Dakar Senegal.

The scholarship programme represents the opportunity of a lifetime and focuses on innovation for global benefit. Scholars will benefit from fully-funded undergraduate or graduate study at the University of Oxford with a generous stipend that also covers the equivalent of innovation internships.
