African Leaders!
Ours are leaders who make promises in their manifestoes when seeking public offices only to worsen the plight of citizens after being elected, unable to rid the continent of poverty blows.
They seek to perpetuate themselves in power until death knocks them out of relevance.
Since we can't see their intentions, let them show us their actions. They should have realized, through past events, that we cannot forever be slaves to their ambition.
It is a pity that our polity in Africa is in the hands of crooks, who will comb every nook of the country when seeking electorate's votes. Those same places would later become too dirty and unsafe to visit a few months in power.
The fault is not theirs. Yes, it is not. We are a people that have grown used to feeling gratified that we eat better food, wear nicer clothes and live better than our neighbours, family, and friends.
Such a mentality... is the bane of our progress. Collectively, we must say no to indigenous bullies, political rapists and corruption incarnates!
Let us know that enjoyment of a man in the wake of the suffering of others is a direct invitation to his own peril, sooner or later.
Let us shed the garment of "I enjoy alone and we suffer together"
In the spirit of Ramadan, let our togetherness take Africa forward.
Ramadan Mubaarak!

8 年How better can we fair when the youth themselves laud a 2-year employment programme that pays a paltry N23,000 monthly to graduates? Are we born to suffer so that some other people can satisfy their inordinate greed in the dubious spirit of service to fatherland? Oh God of creation Direct our Noble Cause Guide our Leaders right HELP OUR YOUTH THE TRUTH TO KNOW....
