Anyone interested in going to Kenya?

Our church has designated Strategic Mission Partners with whom they work closely to accomplish far more in regions where discipleship for Christ is relatively young and becoming established. Divine Providence Training Center in Kenya grew out of a need for pastors to take The Message to some of these areas.

Small churchless communities routinely produce men who have heard the call to preach but have little or no education nor the means to obtain it. This center provides training that conducts four two-week sessions a year with practical work between sessions so that these pastors can learn work tools and confidence to return to the community and take a Christian Leaders role.

The impact on cultural plights such as tribal conflicts, domestic abuse, and overwhelming poverty has been remarkable. The mission partnership is making real strides in fostering discipleship in every area of people’s lives, but they need so much more. They need leadership training to help them develop business models so that they can become more self-sustaining.

Divine Providence Training Center is housed at the Camp Chemi Chemi Retreat & Training Center located in Matasia, Kenya.

The vision behind the Retreat Center is to generate income to subsidize pastors’ training as well as Care To Learn’s Community Outreach programs.  The goal is to become a self-supporting mission model.

The site for the Center is located high above the City of Nairobi and within a 30 minute drive of the airport making it easy to access for visitors. It presents with a 360 degree panoramic view of Acacia trees, the Ngong Hills and an expansive view of the city of Nairobi.

It is the first of its kind to offer luxurious accommodations in high quality Safari tents allowing visitors to experience God’s Creation, gardens, the pleasant breezes of Upper Matasia and a view of the night time African sky from their own decks.
